Carpet Cleaning - The Truth!

About Guarantee Carpet Cleaning

After graduating from high school and serving in the Army Ordinance Division, David W. Hart moved to Portland, where he went to work for a local carpet, upholstery, and duct cleaning company. "I wanted to broaden my knowledge of the industry as much as I could."
He worked his way into a "Lead Technician" position, and continued his studies. "I remember going into the owners office one day and asking if he had any more literature available. I walked out of his office with a stack of notebooks a foot high. I took them home and became engrossed in them nightly. I couldn't get enough. I never thought that carpet, upholstery, and duct cleaning could be so scientific."
In 1997, Hart switched gears and went to work for Oregon's largest carpet cleaning company as lead technician and chief instructor. He worked in the field, trained new technicians, and taught classes to the employees of the 20-van operation.
"I've know for a long time that I wanted to start my own company," Hart recalls, and in the spring of 1999 he launched Guarantee Cleaning Services Inc. in Central Oregon. "This is where my family lives, and I prefer it to the big city any day." Choosing a name for his company was not a difficult decision. "Quality is my absolute No.1 concern, and that is a guarantee."
Hart uses a truck-mounted hot water extraction system, the system recommended by all the major carpet manufacturers. His machine is the Prochem Performer 405, the most powerful carpet/upholstery cleaning machine in the industry. "I don't settle for second best anything." The powerful extraction of this unit leaves carpets dry in two to four hours and they can be walked on immediately. "The so-called chemical dry-clean method for carpets is obsolete and should have been abandoned years ago. There is nothing dry about it anyway. They also use hot water which is rubbed into the carpet with a rotary buffer pad. Nothing is extracted, the idea is that the buffer pad is supposed to absorb the soil. This explains why they soil down in the fibers does not get removed. Our machine extracts the water and soil, instead of just moving it around. My vacuum hose can pick up a 30 pound weight." Some upholstery, however, does require actual dry cleaning, and Hart is geared for this and oriental carpet cleaning as well.

As a final plus, when you call Guarantee Carpet & Upholstery Cleaning, rather than having to leave a message on a machine, or your phone number on a pager, your call is answered by Hart himself. "I want to personally answer any questions my customers may have anytime they call."
